PRODUCT INFORMATION

Valerian is a drug of the group of sedative and sleeping drugs.

 

Contraindications:

Do not take Valerian in case of hypersensitivity (allergy) to the active substance or any of the other ingredients.

Do not use in children under 12 years of age due to lack of safety data.

Co-administration with alcohol should be avoided.

 

Taking other medicines:

Do not take Valerian together with other medicines that have a similar effect. No drug interactions of Valerian with other medicines have been observed.

 

Pregnancy and lactation:

The use of Valerian in pregnancy and lactation is not recommended.

Driving and using machines:

Due to the mild sedative effect, it is not recommended to use Valerian immediately before driving or using machines.

Possible side effects:

Like all medicines, Valerian can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.

When administered in therapeutic doses, side effects may rarely be observed. Gastrointestinal disorders are rare.

Method of use:

Adults and children over 12 years: 1-2 tablets 3 to 4 times a day with a sufficient amount of liquid.

For sleep disorders, a single dose is taken up to 1 hour before bedtime. For optimal effect, it is recommended to continue treatment for 2-4 weeks.

The use of Valerian in children under 12 years of age is not recommended.

If you forget to take your dose:

Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. Continue with the recommended schedule.

Warning:

In case of overdose with 1-2 tablets, no harmful consequences are usually observed. Single cases of overdose have been reported at 20 times the therapeutic dose (20 mg Valerian). In such cases, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, drowsiness, trembling of the hands, dilated pupils may be observed. If you observe such side effects, you should immediately stop taking valerian and seek medical advice.

Ingredients of 1 tablet:

Active substance: dry extract of Valerian root (Valeriane radix extractum siccum) – 30 mg.

Other ingredients:

Excipients: navicel pH 101, lactose, colidine VA64, talc, magnesium stearate.

Storage:

Store in a cool, dry place, without direct sunlight, in the original package, out of the reach of children. Do not use Valerian after the expiry date which is stated on the package.
